Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry in comparison with neutron activation and ion chromatography with UV/VIS detection for the determination of lanthanides in plant materials

► Analytical protocol for the accurate determination of lanthanides in plants was proposed. ► Evaluation of the analytical performance of ICP-MS, NAA and IC UV/VIS was presented. ► Sample preparation for ICP-MS determination of lanthanides has been characterized. ► Tentative recommended values (TRV's) for lanthanides, which were not certified in selected CRM were established.
