Thallium speciation in plant tissues-Tl(III) found in Sinapis alba L. grown in soil polluted with tailing sediment containing thallium minerals

► Comparison of ICP MS and DP ASV results could indicate Tl(III) presence in the sample. ► Speciation analysis was carried out by HPLC ICP MS. ► Tl(III) was found in Sinapis alba grown in the presence of Tl(I) only. ► S. alba was grown on post-flotation wastes containing Tl. ► Accumulation of Tl in plants caused no changes in morphology and biomass production.
