Determination of ten monohydroxylated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by liquid-liquid extraction and liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry

► It is the first time to use liquid-liquid extraction and LC/MS/MS for OH-PAHs analysis. ► The limits of detection were lower than or comparable to those from GC/HRMS method. ► The method overcomes the high cost of operation and maintenance of HRMS. ► We recommend that it become a routine method to measure urinary OH-PAH.
