Micrococcal nuclease detection based on peptide-bridged energy transfer between quantum dots and dye-labeled DNA

► A fluorescence resonance energy transfer system based on electrostatic interaction was developed. ► The system was applied for the detection of micrococcal nuclease. ► This method did not require covalent modification to the quantum dots and doubly labeled DNA strand.
