Assessment uncertainty associated to the analysis of tar from gasification of sewage sludge

► The main sources of uncertainty associated to tar quantification were evaluated. ► Global uncertainty was calculated. ► Extraction step generates the highest source of uncertainty. ► High expanded uncertainties were found due to the analyte segregation. ► To minimize tar uncertainty, other sampling methods must be studied.
