Development of an analytical method using reversed-phase HPLC-PDA for a semipurified extract of Paullinia cupana var. sorbilis (guaraná)
چکیده انگلیسی
► Semipurified extract of Paullinia cupana was analyzed by RP-HPLC-PDA for catechin, epicatechin and caffeine. ► The validation method was development and was linear, precise, accurate, and robust, under the conditions employed, for catechin and epicatechin. The results demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed method. ► The quantification of the EPA extractive solution demonstrated that it contained 14.46 μg mL−1 of catechin (180.75 μg catechin mg−1 of EPA), 22.31 μg mL−1 of epicatechin (278.87 μg epicatechin mg−1 of EPA), and 24.07 μg mL−1 of caffeine (300.87 μg caffeine mg−1 of EPA). ► The solutions were stable for a sufficient time (one week) to complete the analytical process.
