Spectrofluorometric determination and chemical speciation of trace concentrations of tungsten species in water using the ion pairing reagent procaine hydrochloride

► A low cost spectrofluorometric method has been developed for the tungsten analysis in water samples. ► Figure of merits of the method was compared successfully with the ICPOES and other recent liquid sold spectrophotometric and voltammetric techniques for tungsten determination. ► Analysis of tungsten in real samples was applied successfully. ► The method could be extended to be used for on-line measurements of tungsten species in water samples.
