New concept for HPTLC peak purity assessment and identification of drugs in multi-component mixtures

► We presented a novel concept for assessment of HPTLC peak purity and identity. ► We used the mathematically transformed HPTLC spectrodensitograms data in the wavelength domain. ► Relative absorption spectra, log A versus the wavelength plots and derivative spectra of the spectradensitograms were the basis of purity testing. ► Derivative spectra of the spectrodensitograms provided a characteristic fingerprints for each component.
