Water-soluble fluorescent conjugated polymer-enzyme hybrid system for the determination of both hydroquinone and hydrogen peroxide

► We developed a sensor based on superquenching of fluorescent conjugated polymer (FCP). ► Detection limit of H2Q and H2O2 is 5.0 × 10−7 mol/L and 1.0 × 10−6 mol/L. ► First report for water-soluble FCP be used in phenol detection under HRP catalyzed action. ► It has great potential for detecting various analytes with quinone producing process. ► Simple, speediness, high efficiency quenching, non-toxicity, easy operation are the advantages.
