Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry determination of feminizing chemicals in river water, sediment and tissue pretreated using disk-type solid-phase extraction and matrix solid-phase dispersion

► Disk-type automated solid-phase extraction on water was fast and reproducible. ► Matrix solid-phase dispersion was fast and simple on extracting sediment and tissue. ► Electrospray ionization was compared with atmospheric pressure photoionization. ► Accurate and precise quantification with UHPLC/MS/MS and isotope-dilution techniques. ► Acidic alumina was less susceptible to matrix effect than 2-D LC on-line cleanup.
