Synthesized mercaptopropyl nanoporous resins in DGT probes for determining dissolved mercury concentrations

► Diffusive Gradients in Thin Films (DGTs) to sample labile Hg compounds was developed. ► Two mercaptopropyl nanoporous resins SH-PMO and SH-SBA were used in the DGTs. ► The performances of these resins in DGTs are much better than those of Chelex. ► Labile Hg concentrations were determined in a natural aquatic system with new DGTs.
