Magnetic beads-based electrochemical immunosensor for detection of pseudorabies virus antibody in swine serum

► A novel magnetic glass carbon electrode (MGCE) was developed to capture magnetic beads for the direct sensing application. ► The MGCE was inexpensive, robust, user-friendly, and had a commercial promise for electrochemical detection. ► A novel magnetoimmunosensor was developed, and it was successfully applied in detection of pseudorabies virus antibody.
