Separation of ruthenium from environmental samples on polymeric sorbent based on imprinted Ru(III)-allyl acetoacetate complex

► A new imprinted polymeric sorbent was synthesized on the base of Ru(III)-allylacetoacetate complex. ► Sorbent is characterized by good selectivity. ► Flow-SPE procedure for selective separation of Ru from environmental samples was developed. ► Accurate procedure for preconcentration and determination of trace amounts of Ru by ETAAS.
