Novel surfactant removal method to obtain ordered mesoporous materials whose frameworks are organized by non-silica-based inorganic–organic hybrid aluminum methylenediphosphonate components was developed and the treatment conditions were investigated in detail. Oligomeric surfactant and triblock copolymer containing oxygen atoms can be decomposed and eliminated by treating in dehydrated acetone at around 90–100 °C and the mesostructural orderings collapsed during the treatment at higher temperatures. According to the number of the acetone treatment, the surfactant molecules were removed gradually. In addition, it is quite important for the successful preparation of aluminum organophosphonates (AOPs) with ordered mesopores that are defined by surfactant assemblies to control the amount of water molecules in the reaction system carefully during the acetone treatment.
