Synthesis of Pt-Cu/poly (o-Anisidine) nanocomposite onto carbon paste electrode and its application for methanol oxidation

A novel and facile method for preparation of highly porous poly (o-Anisidine) film onto carbon paste electrode by two-step process, through electropolymerization after electrochemical pretreatment was reported. The electrochemical pretreatment strongly influences the morphology and growth rate of the polymer film. The synthesized bimetallic Pt/Cu nanoparticles showed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards methanol oxidation.326
