Synthesis and hydrogen storage properties of lithium borohydride amidoborane complex

► A complex with a chemical composition of LiAB-LiBH4 was successfully synthesized. ► LiAB and LiBH4 are arranged in alternating layers perpendicular to the b-axis. ► Three steps of hydrogen desorption were observed during heating process. ► Kinetic analyses show that LiAB-0.5LiBH4 has lower activation energy than LiAB.
