Catalytic partial oxidation of isobutanol for the production of hydrogen

► Catalytic partial oxidation of isobutanol is investigated. ► Rh/alumina and alumina are used as catalysts. ► Partial oxidation of isobutene suggests that isobutene could be an intermediate during partial oxidation of isobutanol. ► Effect of contact time on hydrogen selectivity is investigated.
