Failure analysis of steel wire of grade LRPC during drawing process

► In this research failure analysis of wire of Grade LRPC was carried out.
► The failure occurs due to roller entry guide failure, which gets embedded in the wire rod during hot rolling operations.
► During drawing operations due to hardness different the parent materials could not roll in the same manner as the foreign materials.
► Thus wire breakage took place during drawing operations.
