Complexation of europium(III) by hydroxybenzoic acids: A time-resolved luminescence spectroscopy study

The luminescence of europium(III) complexed by p-hydroxybenzoic and protocatechuic acid is showing a classical increase of 5D0 → 7F2 transition with acid concentration, but does not show the classical increase in decay time.
