Effects of polar substituents on the biological activity of thiosemicarbazone metal complexes

Citronellal, vanillin and pyridoxal thiosemicarbazones were modified with ethylmorpholine and glucose to compare the effects of these moieties on their biological activity. Assays on proliferation inhibition were conducted on tumor cell lines U937 and HT29. Two metal complexes showed remarkable interesting properties and were also tested for histosensitivity.33
