Effects of endogenous neurotoxin quinolinic acid on reactive oxygen species production by Fenton reaction catalyzed by iron or copper

Quinolinic acid is a tryptophan metabolite known by its neurotoxicity. The ability of quinolinic acid to form coordination complexes with iron or copper and its robustness against hydroxyl radical attack was investigated by ESI-MS.131
