Efficient synthesis of N-substituted pyrroles catalyzed by a novel an organic-inorganic hybrid solid acid catalyst

► Hybrid solid catalyst [MIMBS]3PW12O40 was prepared. ► Pyrroles were effectively synthesized catalyzed by [MIMBS]3PW12O40. ► Low catalyst loading with high activity for a wide range of aniline substrates. ► Catalyst could be recycled several times without losing its activity.
