A luminescent Cd(II)-based metal−organic framework for detection of Fe(III) ions in aqueous solution

A new 2D MOF-based sensor ([Cd(Hcbic)]n) with an left- and right-handed double helical structure was successfully assembled. It is worth noting that [Cd(Hcbic)]n shows a highly selective fluorescence quenching effect to Fe3+ ion in aqueous solution with broad pH range.190
