Enhanced scintillation of Ba3In(B3O6)3 based on nitrogen doping

Combined experimental study with first principles calculations, we have shown that nitrogen doping can effectively tune the electronic structure of BIB by producing lattice defects. This leads to a decrease in band gap, improved photon absorption and enhanced the scintillation performance of BIB.324
