Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties of Li0.44Eu3[B3N6]

Single crystals of Li0.44Eu3[B3N6] was obtained from the metathesis reaction of Li3[BN2] and EuCl3.151Eu Mössbauer, ESR and magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal the heterogeneous mixed valency of the Eu atoms.
