Topological aspects of lanthanide-adipate-aqua compounds: Close packed and open framework structures

A survey of structures and topologies of lanthanide adipate compounds is presented. A newly synthesized lanthanium adipate complex {[La2(adip)3(H2O)2] (adipH2=adipic acid) is also reported.
