Synthesis, crystal structures, and luminescent properties of Cd(II) coordination polymers assembled from semi-rigid multi-dentate N-containing ligand

► Three Cd-compounds were prepared from semi-rigid HL ligand with different N-containing groups. ► They exhibit diverse structures from 2D monomolecular layer to 3D covalent framework. ► The HL ligands displayed various coordination modes under different reaction conditions. ► These compounds exhibit good luminescent properties.
