Irradiation depolymerized guar gum as partial replacement of gum Arabic for microencapsulation of mint oil

► Gamma-radiation depolymerized guar gum in combination with gum Arabic was used as wall material for encapsulation of mint oil. ► Depolymerized guar gum based wall material resulted in better retention of mint oil. ► PCA showed better retention of compounds like menthol and isomenthol in guar gum microcapsules.
