Wound-dressing materials with antibacterial activity from electrospun polyurethane-dextran nanofiber mats containing ciprofloxacin HCl

► One step synthesis of PU-dextran-drug loaded nanofibers via e-spin. ► Good bactericidal activity against both of Gram+ve and Gram−ve bacteria. ► Applicable electrospun mat to most of the open wounds due to bactericidal activity. ► Better cell attachment and proliferation observed. ► Low cost wound dressing material.
