Influence of glycerol on molecular mobility and hydrogen bond network in amorphous glucose matrix

► Glucose matrix dipolar relaxation scales with Tg in presence of glycerol. ► Glucose matrix collisional quenching scales with Tg in presence of glycerol. ► IR absorbance bandwidth, but not peak frequency, affected by glycerol. ► Glycerol plasticizes the glucose matrix over content from 0.1 to 0.4 mole ratio. ► No evidence that glycerol has antiplasticization effect on glucose matrix.
