Synthesis, structures, and investigation of noncovalent interactions of 1,3-dimethyl-5-(4ʹ/3ʹ-pyridylazo)-6-aminouracil and their Ni(II) complexes

Crystal structures of ligands (HL) and complex [NiIIL2] have been explored. Ligands have π-acidic and π-basic moieties that are instrumental for noncovalent π-π stacking in the ligands and lone-pair (lp)-π interactions in the Ni(II) complex structures for their assemblies.440
