Synthesis, structure, electrochemical properties and superoxide radical scavenging activities of two thiocyanate copper(II) complexes with different pyridyl-benzoxazole ligands

Two thiocyanate copper (II) complexes based on pyridyl-benzoxazole ligands, have been synthesized and characterized. The complexes 1-2 are both four coordinate and shown plane quadrilateral structure. Complexes 1-2 exhibited antioxidant activities against O2− radicals in vitro and the activity of complex 2 is stronger than that of complex 1.202
