Pentacoordinated cloro-bis-o-iminosemiquinonato MnIII and FeIII complexes

Synthesis, molecular structures and comprehensive study of new pentacoordinated bis-o-iminosemiquinonato derivatives of MnIII and FeIII is reported. The observed magnetic behavior of complexes is characteristic for a strong antiferromagnetic interaction between unpaired electrons of metal ion and o-iminosemiquinonate radicals. The phenomenon of temperature-dependent spin-crossover (SFe = 5/2 → SFe = 3/2) for iron(III) compound was observed.132
