Synthesis, characterization and biological investigations of novel Schiff base ligands containing imidazoline moiety and their Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes

Synopsis: Two Schiff base ligands and their Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes were synthesized and characterized. The geometries of the ligands were optimized using DFT calculations. The frontier molecular orbitals and MEP maps were calculated. The antimicrobial effects of the ligands and the metal complexes were determined.76
