Synthesis, crystal structures and properties of new homoleptic Ni(II)/Pd(II) β-oxodithioester chelates

New cis-chelate planar Ni(II) and Pd(II) complexes with functionalized β-oxodithioester ligands have been synthesized and fully characterized and their structures have been revealed by X-ray crystallography. Ni (2,3) and Pd 6 complexes showed efficient anti-leishmanial activities. All the complexes exihibited semiconducting behavior in the solid phase, Pd complexes 4, 5 and 6 luminescent characteristics.257
