An annealing-followed soft-template strategy was developed to prepare alternately intercalated m-C/MoS2 hollow nanospheres with few atomic layers, which shows expanded interlayer spacing and ideal atomic contact between N-doped porous carbon layers and MoS2 monolayers. These features can achieve fast ion/electron transport and structural integrity upon repeated ion insertion/extraction. As a consequence, the m-C/MoS2 superstructures electrode delivers high discharge capacity and long-life cycling stability.339
