Optical characteristics and holographic gratings recording on As30Se70 thin films

We have systematically investigated the optical properties of As30Se70 thin films, the effect of laser illumination on these films, and the effect of light induced surface deformation and direct fabrication of surface relief gratings (SRGs) in our thin film has been made. A red shift in the transmittance edge has been observed due laser illumination which reveals the presence of photo-darkening effect (cf, Fig. 1).174
