X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and magnetic properties of Ce2Co15Mn3 compound

► The magnetic state of Ce, Co and Mn ions in Ce2Co15Mn3 are analyzed. ► XPS has shown the intermediate valence state of Ce. ► Local magnetic moments on both Mn and Co sites were evidenced. ► The magnetic measurements indicate antiferromagnetic Mn-Mn and Mn-Co interactions.
