Effect of high magnetic field on alloy carbide precipitation in an Fe-C-Mo alloy

► High magnetic field effectively promoted the precipitation of M6C carbides. ► The concentration of Fe atoms in M6C carbides was increased by magnetic field. ► M6C precipitation behavior was caused by magnetic Gibbs free energy change.
