Structural investigation on silver phosphate glasses embedded with nanoparticles

► Nanocrystalline phases are present in silver phosphate glassy matrix embedded with CdI2. ► The size of the nanocrystallites depends on the phosphate network. ► The presence of different nanocrystalline phases does not affect the basic glass network. ► The glass transition temperature increases with increase of CdI2 content.
