Layer-by-layer coating of photoactive polymers for biomedical applications

► We prepare nanostructured films by LbL assembly of photoactive copolymers. ► We examine the correct organization of the multilayered coating. ► UV-vis spectra show the fluorescein presence on the coated sample surfaces. ► FTIR-ATR spectra show the main absorption bands of ZI, also confirmed by EDS spectra. ► Static contact angle values show an alternate trend as a function of the layer number.
