Comparative performance evaluation of conventional bleaching and enzymatic bleaching with glucose oxidase on knitted cotton fabric

► Enzymatic bleaching of cotton knitted fabric was done by using glucose oxidase and compared with conventional bleaching. ► Hydrogen peroxide was produced by glucose oxidase which is a good alternative of commercially available hydrogen peroxide. ► In terms of whiteness, tensile strength and tear strength, the enzymatic bleaching technique was found better.
