► Two slurry management alternatives have been studied by LCA. ► Acidification and eutrophication in SE Spain are the major problems. ► We remark the need for a single scale in LCA results, provided with normalization. ► Normalization permits compare categories of impact in different scales. ► For normalization a realistic pollution government database is needed.
