Quiet-time low latitude ionospheric electrodynamics in the non-hydrostatic Global Ionosphere-Thermosphere Model

► Results from newly developed dynamo solver of the University of Michigan's GITM model are presented. ► Effects of different lower-boundary tidal conditions on the equatorial ionospheric parameters are investigated. ► Seasonal and solar cycle variations of simulated F-region plasma drifts are described. ► Provides geophysical information about the time scales for achieving the quasi-equilibrium state of the model.
