17β-Estradiol and steady-state concentrations of H2O2: antiapoptotic effect in endometrial cells from patients with endometriosis

► We evaluated whether 17β-estradiol (E2) and steady-state [H2O2] have antiapoptotic effects on endometrial cells. ► High levels of H2O2 can initiate responses to limit or repair oxidative damage. ► H2O2 and E2 play key roles in cell division, differentiation, and proliferation. ► H2O2 is a signaling molecule downregulating apoptosis in endometrial cells.
