Nitroarachidonic acid prevents NADPH oxidase assembly and superoxide radical production in activated macrophages

► Nitroarachidonic acid exerts protective effects during macrophage activation. ► Nitroarachidonic acid can modulate phagocytic NADPH oxidase activity/assembly. ► Nitroarachidonic acid prevents the migration of cytosolic subunits to the membrane. ► Protective effects were also observed in an in vivo inflammatory model.
