CCCP induces autophagy in an AMPK-independent manner

► CCCP selectively inhibited mTORC1, but not mTORC2. ► CCCP-dependent AMPK stimulation was dispensable for mTORC1 inhibition. ► CCCP promoted autophagy in AMPKα1/α2 double knock MEFs as well as wild type MEFs. ► CCCP enhanced mitophagy in AMPKα1/α2 double knock MEFs as well as wild type MEFs.
