►Identification of 2 triacylglycerol synthases of Y. lipolytica, Dga1p and Lro1p. ►Dga1p is an acyl-CoA dependent triacylglycerol synthase. ►Lro1p uses phospholipids as acyl donor for triacylglycerol formation. ►Growth on oleic acid induces additional triacylglycerol synthase(s).
