Age-related distributions of nine fasting plasma free fatty acids in a population of Chinese adults

► We measured nine plasma FFAs in 399 Chinese adults aged 18-104 years using HPLC. ► Significant differences of plasma FFAs exist in different age groups, except for C16:1. ► Reference intervals for nine plasma FFAs were established. ► It is the first data set of nine plasma FFAs in local Chinese population.
