Nutritional and immunological characteristics of fresh and refrigerated stored human milk in Hong Kong: A pilot study

► Hong Kong Chinese Breast milk from postpartum women was studied. ► They have adequate protein and lactose, but low in quantity of triglycerides. ► They contain exceptional high levels of sIgA, which is 2-5 times of western levels. ► Refrigerated storage maintained the quality of major milk components. ► Convenient for keeping the milk for later feeding, up to three days.
